Common privet

The Common privet is frequently cultivated for ornamental purposes due to its semi-dispersed leaves, flowers grouped in rich panicles, and decorative black globular fruits. It belongs to the Oleaceae family, genus Ligustrum. The maximum height of the shrubs is approx. 5 m, stems are often branched, bushy in appearance. The leaves are 3-6 cm long, with a sharp, semi-persistent tip (some remain on the branches even in the cold season).
