Zamioculcas

It is a genus of herbaceous and rhizomatous plants, native to South-East Africa, introduced to Europe in 1828. Zamioculcas zamiifolia is the only species in this genus, cultivated as a decorative houseplant, with bushy foliage and fleshy petiole growing from an underground rhizome. The leaves are 40-60 cm long, green, glossy and leathery.
