Calendula

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) are annual plants and belong to the Asteraceae family. They have a long taproot and an upright, branched stem that can reach a height of 40-80 cm. The leaves are alternate, lanceolate, with rounded tips. The inflorescence is represented by a calathidium, on which orange ligulate flowers are attached laterally. The middle flowers are tubular, and yellow-orange. Calendula flowers are used in the pharmaceutical industry.
