Slugs

Slugs - part of the Mollusca kingdom, class Gastropoda. They are invertebrates, which generally have a bilaterally symmetrical body. They move by crawling on their feet, which are moistened with a layer of mucus. They attack many species of cultivated and spontaneous plants (vegetables, flowers, vines, fruit trees and shrubs, leguminous plants, cereals etc.). They are particularly damaging in greenhouses and vegetable and flower gardens.
