      Why have I got weevils in my bedroom?

      Hello. For almost a week I have noticed very small bugs in my daughter’s room, like the ones in the picture. Not many, so far a total of 5 or 6 in about a week. I can’t figure out where they are from and how to get rid of them. There’s no food in the room and I haven’t found these bugs in other rooms, only here. Where can they come from and how do we get rid of them?

      Hello, the insect in the attached picture seems to be a species of weevil (Curculionoidea). In this case, first, it is advisable to vacuum thoroughly, insisting on the areas where the insects are present, as well as those where they can hide. As these insects are considered to be pests of stored food (and often enter the home through them), it is advisable to carefully check the areas where you store food (if necessary, infested food should be removed and uninfested food sealed). Afterward, if after taking these measures you still notice the presence of certain insects, it is recommended to apply a product such as Buglea, 100 ml. It is dissolved in water, according to the recommendations on the label, and is applied by direct spraying on the insects. Applied only mixed with water, Buglea, 100 ml is non-toxic, therefore, it does not present a risk, its principle of action being of a mechanical nature, i.g. physical immobilization of pests when it comes into contact with them.
