      Tomatoes, elongation of the seedlings

      Hello
I put the tomato seeds of the hybrid ABELLUS RZ F1, in the substrate ,,Seedling soil / substrate, Compo Sana 1062804004, 20 l, peat and perlite,, on 11.03.2024 (exactly 7 days ago).
Light – they are permanently sitting by a window facing SOUTH and I have put a lamp for a few days.
Water – we add a little at a time, in the tray and they absorb it. We then test that the soil is moist at the surface.
Temperature – I think this is where the problem lies, we grow them in an apartment building and the temperature is constant day and night.
In your opinion are they ok? Or are they already getting too elongated?
I had read that some people recommend spraying them with cropmax, others with cycogan 400 (but it is no longer available and it is replaced with stabilan).
What can I do to stop them from elongating? And to get thicker.
      Thank you very much.
      Have a nice day.

Hello! Your tomato seedlings seem to be slightly elongated, this phenomenon often occurring due to insufficient light. On average, tomato seedlings need 14-16 hours of light per day, and artificial light may not be able to replace natural light completely. More information on tomato care can be found in our article: Tomatoes, information about crop management. Considering the stage the plants are in at the moment, it would be better not to use fertilizers.

After transplanting, you may consider applying a fertilizer that supports root development such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml. This should be applied by watering 2-3 times at two week intervals. Later, from the active growing period until the fruit has formed and ripened, you can consider applying a regular fertilizer for potted vegetables such as Organic Liquid Fertilizer for Pot Vegetables, 350 ml. This ensures a healthy and vigorous growth. The fertilizer should be applied by watering, according to the information on the product.

      Hello
      Thank you very much
Stabilan I have seen is a growth regulator which would limit metabolism to the maximum.
      Is it not recommended?
      Or a copper treatment?
      Thank you very much

The product mentioned is a growth regulator for cereal crops (wheat, rye, rapeseed, oats, etc.) and is not approved for tomato cultivation. Products containing copper are applied for the control of diseases such as tomato fruit blight or downy mildew, they are not applicable at this stage of seedling development. At present, it is not recommended to apply treatments or fertilizers.
