Thrips invasion in houseplants
Hello,
I’m struggling with an invasion of thrips on my houseplants. I am looking for a systemic insecticide that I can apply to the substrate. I heard that they exist and are effective, but I can’t figure out if they are on the market in our country. Can you help me with a recommendation from your website? I have over 150 plants in my apartment, no balcony, but I have a child and a pet, which is why I am wary of exposing them to toxic substances applied through spraying. -
Hello. In our product catalogue we do not have such an insecticide (with direct application in the substrate) and we do not have information about the existence of one on the market. Thrips are pests that attack the aerial organs of plants (leaves, flowers), and applying an insecticide to the substrate will not have the desired effect. If you do not want to spray the plants with an insecticide, you can opt to use adhesive traps such as Impact Blue, 10 x 25 cm. The pests are attracted by the colour of the trap and stick to the special adhesive.
