      Sunflower – why is the flower head curling?

      Hi there! So I have a weird one.. The actual flower head is curling.. The plant looks healthy and so does the head it’s just that its curling like a taco I’m not sure the type the sunflower is but maybe its that? The symptoms started about 5 days after the flower started opening.. It’s about 8 or 9 days into opening. I think it’s starting to die off now today.. I’m not sure the length of its flower’s lifespan. My climate is Sunny, about 25C* average, in the Southern hemisphere. I really want the seeds to grow more.. only the one sprouted of 3 seeds I got.. so all I need is this one to get a bunch more seeds.       Hello, from these photos, the plant does not appear to be affected by any pathogen (insect or disease) but appears to be suffering from a mutation. However, these are quite common in sunflowers and do not affect the organoleptic qualities of the seeds, which are still edible.
