Sour cherry – spots on fruit
Hello, my sour cherry is sick: all its fruits, when they ripen, have black spots. What can I do?

Hello, in order to help you identify the problem, please attach more photos of the sour cherry tree. Also, please tell us more details about the tree. Where is it located, what are the environmental conditions (temperature, light, humidity), at what time interval do you water? Have you had any treatment or recently applied fertilizer? When it started to have these symptoms, is there any pest on the sour cherry?
MiMirela1 April 2022Thanks for the reply! I don’t have access to the sour cherry right now, but I hope to be able to take a few photos this week. The tree has grown near an outbuilding and is the shade in the second half of the day. I never watered it, I did not know that the trees need to be watered (I have not taken care of the trees until now). I never applied any treatment either. I didn’t notice any insects or worms, but maybe I don’t know how to look. I will take pictures and come back.

Hello, the sour cherry has symptoms of leaf spot disease. After the leaves fall, they can be gathered and destroyed by burning, so that the disease does not overwinter in the remaining plant debris. For the control of diseases and pests, it is recommended to apply treatments during the dormancy period (Winter treatments with oils and copper-based products), as well as the preventive ones. To choose the right treatments during the vegetation period, depending on the phenophase, please consult the following treatments: Sour cherry treatments, pest and disease control
