Plum tree, a cocoon on a plum tree branch

Good morning, please help me. When pruning my plum trees I found the “cocoon” in the picture and I don’t know what it is and what treatment I should apply to remove it. Thank you very much!

Hello. The formation on the plum branch is an ootheca of Mantis religiosa (praying mantis). This insect is a natural predator, so its control is not recommended.
