Philodendron, yellow leaves, mechanical damage
Hello! I have had this philodendron for a month now. At first the stain from the circle above (first picture) appeared, later similar rings started to appear on several leaves, including on a new leaf. I haven’t noticed any pests on it but it’s getting frustrating. The plant sits next to the humidifier, next to a window facing north-west, and I apply bottom watering. What type of pest could it be? What should I apply? Neem oil?

I attach more pictures of the plant to get a proper answer. The broken leaf had a defect and right at that point it broke. It was much more yellow before it broke, after it broke it remained like that. It was the first leaf to come apart since I bought it (a few days after I got it). The picture of that leaf before it broke is attached. I mention this because I’m thinking a pest might also be responsible.

Hello! From the attached pictures there is no evidence of a pest. The condition of the plant may be caused by abiotic stress (mechanical damage and environmental change). For the time being, it is recommended to use a fertilizer such as Orgalix, 100 ml (1 ml solution/ 1 L water) or AMN BonaVita, 500 ml (2 ml-6 ml in 1 L water), which helps the plant to overcome periods of stress and is suitable for all types of plants. Administer according to the information on the label. If you want a ready-to-use product, you can consider an organic fertilizer such as Organic Spray for Indoor Plants Zimmerpflanzen, 500ml, which ensures a healthy growth and strengthens plants by ensuring their vitality and vigorous leaves.

Hello! In this case, as a preventive measure, you may consider applying a spray treatment with a fungicide such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g (20g/10L water), after removing the dry/damaged leaves. Further application of the above mentioned fertilizers is recommended and also, if any pests are observed (white fuzz, white/yellow spots on the underside/topside of the leaves or at their base), please return with photos.

ASAndreea Stan27 October 2023ASAndreea Stan27 October 2023Can I use it on all the plants? I would like to apply it to the calathea in the other post.
Hello, the fungicide is applied on the leaves and can be used on the rest of the plants in the house.
