      Pantry moths, small white larvae

Hello! For some time I have detected on the table where I eat some small larvae, exactly like white worms. I should mention that above the table I have a cupboard where I store my pasta. I have not seen these larvae in any other form than the one that looks like a worm. I don’t have a picture to attach… I have to mention that the furniture is made of chipboard. I have excluded wood borers but they don’t seem to be pantry moths either. I have removed everything, I have cleaned but I haven’t found any.. only a few appear here and there. Please give me some advice, has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hello! From the description given there is a possibility that you are dealing with larvae of the pantry moth.
Thus, before applying any treatments, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the space and carefully inspect all the food. Infested products should be removed and uninfested ones sealed. For direct application on the larvae, you may consider the product SnowBug, 400 ml, as recommended on the label. It has an instant effect on insects/larvae. More specifically, the cooling effect freezes insects instantly. If you want to apply an insecticide, you can use i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre according to the instructions on the label. In case you can also see adult insects, you can also consider using traps such as 812B, 2 pieces, SX Lure Food Moth, 3 pieces. More information about controlling pantry moths, as well as measures to be taken, are presented in the following article: How to get rid of Food Moths.

Hello. Thank you for your answer. What if I opt for the liquid product? How do I proceed with the treatment considering that I found the larvae in the food cupboard and the table where we eat? Thanks in advance

Hello! It is recommended to thoroughly clean the space and carefully inspect all food. The infested items should be removed and the non-infested ones sealed. Apply the insecticide and let it act for 4-5 hours. Surfaces in direct contact with the substance can be washed. The effect of the insecticide can be neutralised by cleaning with detergent or hot water.
