      Food moths, Moth larvae

I assume, I’m not sure, that they are food moths. I had a few small moths inside the house, I sprayed them with a Raid spray but as you can see they laid eggs and for a few days I have been finding larvae on the walls and ceiling of the kitchen. Today I have sprayed with Draker 10.2 (15ml) and something else in a bag bought from the shop, diluted in 500 ml of water. It’s been a few hours already, I’ve aired the room and next I’ll clean the surfaces – I don’t know how thoroughly to do the cleaning. I sprayed on the ceiling, walls, skirting boards, the corners behind the furniture, I even sprayed inside the cupboard where I keep the dishes (I probably shouldn’t have) but I had to spray thoroughly on the larvae on the wall to have any effect. But I noticed that they keep popping up and moving around unhindered. Isn’t what I used effective? School starts and I need to protect the kitchen for the kids. Can you help me with a possible advice and a solution?

Hello. The larvae in the attached pictures seem to be food moth larvae. Thus, before applying any treatments, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the space, and to carefully inspect all food. Those that are infested should be removed (as you have already done), and those that are not infested should be sealed and stored in a safe place. For applying directly on the larvae, you may consider SnowBug, 400 ml, as recommended on the label. It has an instant effect on the insects/larvae, more precisely, the cooling effect freezes them instantly. If you want to apply an insecticide you can use i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre according to the instructions on the label. Also, to catch adult moths (if they are still present), you can use traps such as 812B, 2 pieces, SX Lure Food Moth, 3 pieces. More information about food moth control and the measures to be taken to get rid of them are presented in the following article: How to get rid of Food Moths.
