1 Wish green leaves
Ornamental grasses care
Hello! What should I do now in early spring for 3 ornamental grasses (Carex, blue fescue grass and pennisetum)? I mentioned that I have the blue fescue grass and Pennisetum potted, the other both potted and planted in the yard. The biggest problem I think arises with the pennisetum because I feel it has dried out. Or maybe that’s how it does over the winter. I have attached a photo of the pennisetum.

Hello, regarding the dry Pennisetum plant, just based on the photo it is not possible to determine how it will evolve or if it has been irreversibly affected. In this case, considering the perennial nature of the plant, you can consider cutting the aerial part to see if there will be new growth during this growing season. Also, in order to provide the nutrients necessary for healthy growth, both in the case of Pennisetum and the other two ornamental grasses, it is recommended to use a slow-release organic fertilizer such as Manna Bio Orgalong, 5 kg, as recommended on the label.
