Olive tree, pests on the leaves, lace bugs
Hello. I bought a potted olive tree from Greece, but after about 2 weeks I noticed that some leaves were starting to dry out.
Looking closely at the leaves I discovered some possible pests.
They look like you can see in the picture.Attachments:

Hello! In order to help you with a recommendation, please give us more information: where exactly is the pest in the first photo on the plant? What other symptoms can be observed? Also, please attach more clear photos with the insect and the whole plant.
LiLiviu11 October 2023I found this pest on the leaf, but it’s very well camouflaged and I didn’t manage to take a picture of it on the olive tree before I removed it.
I looked closer for others and couldn’t find any more.
I am attaching three more photos showing what some of the leaves look like (some are dry and look eaten), and others have black spots on them.
(Maybe it’s more noticeable with zoom).
Thank you.Attachments:

If you have found a single pest and have removed it, we recommend checking the plant periodically, and if you notice any more insects, we are waiting for your message with photos.
As far as the leaves are concerned, the white powder that can be seen is caused by watering with hard water. It is best to leave the water from the tap for 24 hours in an open container before watering the plants to remove the chlorine and for the lime to sediment. Leaf fall can occur due to the stress of environmental change. Further, it is recommended to use a fertilizer such as Wuxal Mediterranean Plants, 250 ml, with an increased content of iron and zinc to prevent the yellowing of leaves. It is applied by spraying directly on the leaves, in a dose of 10ml/5L, following the instructions on the label. For more information and care tips: Olive, plant care and growing guide.-

Hello! From the attached pictures, as well as from the description provided of where they can be found, they seem to be a species belonging to the family Tingidae, also called the sycamore lace bugs (Sycamore lace bug (Corythucha ciliata) - pest management). In this case, it is recommended to carry out 1-2 treatments (at 10 days intervals) with a broad spectrum insecticide such as Karate Zeon 50 CS, 2 ml.
To increase the effectiveness of the insecticide, it is recommended to add an adjuvant such as Break Thru S 240, 2 ml, to the spraying solution in a dose of 2 ml/10 L, as this increases the dispersion of the droplets on the surfaces and enhances the wetting degree with the help of the protective agents.
Spray the solution as finely as possible (Foxy Plus), so as to achieve an even distribution of the solution on the plant, both on the leaves and on the stem.
It is important to prepare a volume of mixture corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosages), because the already prepared solution has a shelf life of 24 hours.
Simultaneously with the foliar treatment, it is recommended to apply the fertilizer specified above, Wuxal Mediterranean Plants, 250 ml, by spraying directly on the leaves, but also by watering the roots – the recommended dose is 10 ml / 5L of water.-
