      Maple tree – slow growth

Hello, I planted in 2021 four maple trees 200 cm tall that had no crown formed. This year they developed very little,
Can you recommend me some fertilizer for this period to grow well in spring? In spring/autumn do I need to prune the branches to grow better?
Possibly the soil is low in nutrients? In some areas the lawn also grows poorly.
      Thank you!

Hello. The slow development of maple trees can be caused by stress during planting (given the size of the trees at the time of planting), unfavorable climatic and soil conditions, and lack of adequate fertilization. For the time being, to improve soil fertility, texture, and structure, as well as to stimulate microbial activity in the soil, you may consider using a natural fertilizer, such as Soil Activator Manna Bio Bodenaktivator, 5 kg, as recommended on the label (when the soil is not frozen).
From spring onwards, to ensure healthy growth, it is recommended to regularly apply a fertilizer specially formulated for the requirements of these ornamental species: Organic Fertilizer for Maple Tree Ahorn-Fit, 350 ml, according to the instructions on the label. After the appearance of leaves, you can consider regular application of a fertilizer that increases the resistance of maples and supports their vitality, while preventing the approach of flies, mosquitoes, and wasps: AMN Fusek, 500 ml (by foliar spraying according to the instructions on the product label).
Because the tree crowns are so small, no pruning is recommended at the moment, and it is impossible to anticipate how the trees will grow in the future.
In the case of lawn, the poor growth can have multiple causes or be the result of a combination of factors such as compacted soil, high humidity, persistence, temperature fluctuations, disease development, nutrient deficiencies, etc. Thus, starting in spring, it is recommended to apply monthly preventive treatments with a fungicide such as AMN Promot, 500 g. This is a biological solution based on microorganisms of the Trichoderma genus, packaged in powder form, which colonizes the soil and inhibits the development of pathogens. It is applied monthly, by watering, in a dose of 100 g/100 L water, for an area of 100 sq.m. (the first application is recommended to be made when temperatures constantly exceed 8℃). Also from spring, to stimulate growth, you can consider the administration of biological fertilizer, with a role in the healthy development of roots and therefore of plants: AMN BonaVita, 500 ml. It is applied by watering, in a dose of 30 ml/10 liters of water, according to the instructions in the product description.
