Magnolia

Magnolia, brown spots on the leaves after purchase and transplanting

Hello. Can you help me with some advice regarding this magnolia I bought from an online plant nursery 2 months ago? I transplanted it into a slightly larger pot with a substrate for houseplants and a perlite mix. It has been sitting next to a window in a sunny area between 12:00-20:00/21:00 with temperatures between 25-30 degrees. Watering was done once a week. I sprayed the leaves with water 2-3 times a day, and alternately used a foliar fertilizer from Dr Soil bought from a shop. I have also used a fertilizer for green plants (pictures attached) which I applied while watering.
The plant is exactly the same size as it was when I got it from the nursery, but the leaves have been in this stage for about 2 weeks. I bought it with the intention of planting it in the garden in the spring. I have taken it out on the balcony since yesterday in a place away from draughts and direct sun. What could I do next? Thank you!

Hello. In this case the deterioration may have occurred as a result of a combination of abiotic factors, such as the stress suffered during transport, handling, the changing environmental conditions, the stress suffered after transplanting, as well as other unfavorable factors, depending on the situation (e.g. excessive watering, insufficient light). The plant appears to be affected to a fairly high degree and it is possible that the damage is irreversible. However, if you consider that the plant still has a chance of regeneration and you have not identified any other symptoms (various deposits, the presence of pests or others), in order to stimulate the microbiological activity in the substrate and to stimulate the regeneration of the plant, you may consider applying a natural fertilizer, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, while watering the plant, according to the instructions on the product label. As you have already applied a fertilizer by watering the roots, it is advisable to read the labels of both products (the one you have already applied and the one you will apply) carefully and follow the instructions. Plant protection products should be applied in such a way that the action period of those with the same way of administration (foliar or root) does not overlap, regardless of the type of product ( more than one fertilizer, fungicide, insecticide – if applicable).
Watering is recommended to be done on a regular basis, so that the substrate is kept moist, avoiding overwatering (as the activity and spread of plant pathogens is stimulated by the high and constant humidity of the substrate, and the respiration processes of the roots can be blocked). Further, it is recommended to take proper care of the plant, as described in our article: Magnolia, planting guide and care work. Given the current condition of the magnolia and the above mentioned, it is not possible to say exactly how it will develop in the future.
