Japanese cherry, drying branches
Good evening!
I have a problem with my Japanese Cherry tree, it has started to have some dry branches and I don’t know why.
I should mention that I pruned it this spring and after pruning it bloomed (I have attached pictures). Can you help me with any treatment?
Thank you very much!Attachments:

Hello. In order to be able to help you with a recommendation, please attach clear photos of the dry/affected parts and give us more information: the environmental conditions in the last period, how often you water it and how the watering is done, treatments done, fertilizers administered, potential pests or holes, and any other relevant information.
FlFlorin15 April 2024Good evening, I’m back with more conclusive pictures of the Japanese Cherry which has started to dry out.
The watering was done a week ago and I didn’t administer any fertilizers. It has started to dry out one branch at a time. Please can you help me? Thank you.Attachments:

Hello. The deterioration of this specimen could be caused by one or more factors, such as: unfavorable climatic and soil conditions, temperature fluctuations, high humidity in the soil, etc. If you have not noticed any other symptoms, it is recommended to remove the heavily affected branches, loosen the soil at the base of the tree, keep a part of the ground free of vegetation and apply a root fertilizer such as Organic Fertilizer for Maple Tree Ahorn-Fit, 350 ml, by watering (monthly, from April to July, according to the information in the product description), and a foliar fertilizer such as AMN Nordalge, 500 ml, applied by spraying (every 2-4 weeks, during the growing season, according to the information provided by the manufacturer). More information and useful tips on growing and maintaining this species can be found in our article in the Armuro Community: Japanese cherry, planting guide and care work .
