Hello!
Please help me with some advice on the following problem:
I have prepared the field for sowing the lawn, but I didn’t manage to due to the rainy weather. The ground was too soft for seeding. During this time all kinds of weeds appeared, predominantly bindweed, dandelion etc. – all over the field. At the edge of the plot are planted Thuja trees (about 2m tall, healthy looking, no dry leaves). What kind of herbicide should I use to get rid of these weeds, so I can then seed the lawn but not affect the Thuja? What treatment should I apply to the soil before weeding?
Thank you!
Hello, to control these weeds, we recommend the use of a total herbicide (non-selective), such as Roundup Classic Pro, 1 litre, which is dissolved in water according to the recommendations on the label and applied by direct spraying on the weeds. Application should be done carefully so that the solution does not come into contact with nearby plants that you do not want to remove (in your case, the solution spray should not reach the thuja trees to avoid damaging them). Also, for a better distribution of the solution, you can consider using a micronizer such as the Micronizer Jolly M5V35, which is equipped with a nozzle guard that allows the solution to be dispersed in a controlled way on specific areas. Afterwards, before seeding the lawn, the pause time (waiting period after application of the product before seeding/planting) mentioned both on the label and in the product description should be respected. It is important to read the label carefully and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations closely before applying the herbicide.
