Foul smelling myriapods keep showing up inside the house

I am facing a big problem! I had problems in the past with myriapods (the very fast ones). I’ve bought all kinds of insecticides and I use them weekly, during the summer. I apply them on the baseboards, on the windowsills and they seem to have disappeared. Now, for about 2-3 years, another kind of creature has showed up in my house. I don’t know exactly the species. It’s 10-12 cm long, black, with a kind of thick shell. They are not very fast, like the ones I mentioned above, and die very hard if you want to kill them. I live in a house and at first I thought they were coming from below the building. I changed the floors and poured a concrete slab. I tried everything that is usually done in this type of situations and I still couldn’t get rid of them. They appear between March and April (just a few at first). Please tell me what I can do. What insecticide or ultrasound device can I use? With the hope that you have had the patience and kindness to read my message and you will be able to give me a solution, thank you in advance!

Are the pests that are showing up in your house now also myriapods? Or are they different? What insecticides have you applied to control them? Can you post some pictures with the pests?

Thanks in turn for answering me. There were many insecticides used. Now I remember Kiltox (I don’t know if I wrote it correctly), Raid, then another solution, but I don’t know what it’s called (it was very concentrated anyway) and I put 3-4 times more solution in a liter of water than it was written on the label. In the answers you gave on the blog, I saw that you mentioned the flower pots as a possible source. I have such pots: a fir tree that is approx. 2 m high, which sits in a large pot, and other plants of different sizes. I take them out in the yard in the summer and put them inside the house in the fall. If they came from the plants, why do they only come out in early spring? You asked me what they looked like. I couldn’t photograph them because I feel sick to the point of fainting when I see one, and believe me, I’m pretty resistant to disgusting things. Still, I googled them and found something that looks like them, only the color is different. Those who showed up in my house are black. Otherwise, they look the same. They are called Scolopendromorpha and are about 10 cm long. Some of them were even shorter, not by much, those were probably their offspring. I also told you that they are not very fast and they seem a bit dizzy. If you try to crush them, they are quite resistant. If you tell me the source is the pots then please recommend me a poison that I could use without harming the plants. If possible! Sorry for the length of my message but I wanted to be as explicit as possible. Thousands of thanks in advance for your response and patience in reading my message. Have a nice evening and a great start of the week!

The mentioned pests are part of the myriapod class. They are usually found in the foliage of the plants, under moss, stones, tree trunks, piles of wood, under the flower pots that were taken out during the summer etc. They show up in spring, because during the winter they hide in the pots or in humid areas near the house. First of all, eliminate the places around the house where they can hide (stones, pots, wood, etc.) – damp and shaded spaces. Insecticides such as Cytrol Forte WP, 20 g can be sprayed indoors. The solution should not be sprayed directly on the plants, but can be applied on tiles, baseboards, cracks, walls, beams, door frames, outside of pots, etc.
