Can tomatoes already grown be sprayed with fungicide?
Hello, a crop of cucumbers, still flowering, showed signs of downy mildew. So my husband decided to buy CHAMP 77 WG fungicide and spray them. Only he thought to preventive spray the rest of the vegetables as well, including tomatoes and peppers at maturity. I was going to pick the tomatoes these days and start canning. Now I don’t know if they are safe to eat or how much longer I have to wait. I mention that this is my first time gardening and my husband is acting more from childhood memories. Thank you!

Hello, Champ 77 WG, 20 g is approved for tomatoes, so the preharvest interval (mentioned by the manufacturer, also written on the label) is 10 days. Treatments can also be carried out during the ripening period of the fruit, but it is important to use approved fungicides/insecticides with a short preharvest interval.
