Azaleas, with drooping flowers
My husband bought it on Monday from the florist, they said it needs a lot of light and I put it on the window for a few hours. I read on several websites that I have to put it in partial shade, it is placed facing north, the maximum temperature is 23 degrees, the soil is slightly damp. Since my husband brought it I have not watered it, please tell me the correct amount of water. What should I do?

Forgive me, the azalea is positioned towards the west. I have found a place for it in the kitchen, where it is cooler. Please help me with my plant. Do I have to water it once a week?

Hello, it is not possible to specify the exact amount of water the plant needs because it differs depending on several factors: temperature, atmospheric humidity, type of substrate, pot size, etc. As a rule, after purchase, plants should be placed in rooms with lower temperatures, ventilated, with filtered light. For this species, it is recommended to keep the substrate damp and to use water at room temperature, since cold water causes the leaves to turn yellow. To support flowering during this period, it is recommended to use a fertilizer such as Hydrangea Blue Fertilizer Wuxal Hortensiendünger, 1 litre, according to the instructions on the label. More information on the care of this species can be found in our article in the Armuro Community: Rhododendron, plant care and growing guide.
