Hello, in order to help you, please specify more details: does the pot have holes? How is watering done? Have you applied any fertilizer? What is the temperature inside? Have you seen any pests on the plant?

No, the pot does not have water holes but the roots are not rotten, they are white, healthy. I can’t change the pot because it’s not mine, I’m just trying to take care of the flowers. The pot is made of some stone or terracotta, it is rectangular and has 2 anthurium flowers and a peace lily in it. I water them once every 2 weeks or when the soil becomes slightly dry on the surface. I use water at room temperature. The temperature inside is about 23 ° c. I applied fertilizer for flowering plants once every 3 weeks. I did not see any pests on the plant. Today i noticed that some flowers turned green. I don’t know the humidity level inside, but i spray water on the plants once a week.
DaDana5 April 2022Thanks a lot for the answer but i would like to ask you something more: can you tell me if the plants in the picture are suitable for the pot in which they are placed (pots without a plate underneath) and if they are not suitable, then please recommend me plants that are suitable for this pot. Thank you.

Usually, most plant species (as well as those in the attached photo) require a suitable pot, provided with drainage holes and an environment similar to the conditions in the natural environment. If you still want to keep that pot, you can use it as a mask pot. Thus, you can repot the plants in a suitable pot (with drainage holes), which you can place inside it. However, in this case, special attention must be paid to watering, especially not to let the water puddle in the mask bowl.
Most likely the plant was affected by the humidity in the soil, increased by the lack of drainage holes. However, the most suitable solution is to repot the anthurium in a pot with holes for water drainage and proper watering, so that the soil does not stay wet and the water does not remain in the tray. After repotting, it is important to apply a rooting stimulator: AMN BonaVita, 500 ml. Also, you can choose a soil mix like Room Plants Substrate, 10 litres. More information can be found in the following article: Indoor plants - Repotting. It is recommended to remove the affected leaves, because they will not recover and apply of a fungicide such as Amistar, 10 ml , to reduce the disease spreading. Starting in the spring and during the vegetation period (spring-autumn), it is recommended to apply a special fertilizer for indoor plants, Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml , to help the healthy growth. More information about anthurium care can be found in our article: Anthurium, plant care and growing guide.
