Aeonium – edema on leaves
Hello,
I also have a question and I would ask you, if possible, to help me. I have had this Aeonium for some time. Maybe more than two months. Recently made this disease and I don’t know what it is. I should mention that I am struggling with another problem with all the houseplants I have. I have been trying to treat it with Hydrogen Peroxide and am having some success. It is a black fly that grows terribly fast in a wet environment. I also put yellow traps yesterday. They are attracted to this colour. Could there be a connection between the two problems? What do you advise me to do?
Thank you in advance for your help.Attachments:

Hello. In order to be able to help you with relevant advice, please attach more (clear, focused) pictures of the observed symptoms, e.g. the present flies, and give us some additional details: What are the environmental conditions (e.g. temperature, light, air humidity) When did the first symptoms of depreciation appear? Have you applied fertilizers or phytosanitary treatments? How often and how much water do you water?

Hello. The symptoms on the leaves are similar to edema. Edema can occur as a result of abiotic stress, and the most common cause is high humidity in the substrate. Under these conditions, the roots absorb water at a faster rate than the plant can remove it through transpiration. In this case, to avoid new edema forming, it is advisable to water moderately (avoiding stagnation of water in the tray), allowing the substrate to dry out to a greater degree between waterings.
As for the fungus gnats, it also develops in conditions of high humidity in the substrate of the plant. In order to avoid their appearance, it is recommended to follow the above advice on watering, after which, if you wish, you can replace the surface substrate with a new one: Cactacee Professional Substrate, 5 litres. Also, to capture those that are present, it is recommended to use sticky traps.
From spring onwards, as well as during the growing season, to support plant development, you can consider regular application of a specially formulated succulent plant fertilizer, such as Kakteendunger Bonsai & Cacti Fertilizer, 250 ml, applied according to the label recommendations.
