Skunks are mammals known for their ability to spray a liquid with a strong odour. Different species of skunk vary in appearance from black-and-white to brown or cream coloured, but all have warning colouration. Their most common combination of colours is black and white; however, they can also be brown or grey, however, they all have their specific white stripe. Skunks are omnivorous and change their diet depending on the season, however in urban areas, they also seek garbage left by humans, acting as scavengers.
