Senecio originated in the Canary Islands, Africa and India. It is very suitable as a house plant, but can also be grown in the garden. The stem is branched and can reach a height of 25 cm to 100 cm. The leaves are large alternate (arranged on either side of the stem), covered with whitish peristyles. The flowers are grouped in variously coloured inflorescences: white, light pink, red, blue, purple.
