Norway spruce

The Norway spruce is a resinous plant belonging to the genus Picea. Its ornamental value is due to its specific appearance, its straight and cylindrical trunk, and its persistent needles and cones used in various decorations. Pure spruce forests can be found in mountainous region. This species can also be found in mixed forests (most often with beech and fir), as well as isolated specimens in alpine clearings and in forest-parks, parks, gardens, yards. It grows well in cold areas and in humid regions.
