Fruit worms

Fruit worms - are members of the Lepidoptera order, Tortricidae family. The most representative species are the codling moth (Cydia pomonella) and plum fruit moth (Cydia funebrana). Codling moth attacks apple, pear, apricot, plum, walnut, etc., with heavy damage in apple orchards. First-generation larvae attack young fruit and second-generation larvae attack fully developed fruit. Plum fruit moth attacks wild and cultivated plum fruit, but also other species of stone fruits (cherry, peach, apricot). The larvae attack only the fruit, destroying the pulp and the seeds.
