Tulip tree – why are the leaves turning brown?
I have a tulip tree and this year the leaves are turning brown at the edges. Why does it have affected leaves this year? How can I help him? Not the whole tree but only a part of it. I attached the image of a leaf. Thank you and I look forward to your advice.

Hello, in order to help you with a recommendation, please attach some photos with the whole tree and tell us more details: when did the symptoms start, exactly? Where is it located what are the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity)? How often do you water it? Have you administered any fertilizer so far?

chcojocaru horia9 April 2022Hello. I attached some pictures of the place where the tree grows and what the leaves look like. The date of its appearance cannot be specified. I did not notice any pests on the tulip tree. How to proceed?

In the absence of the required details, a diagnosis cannot be clearly established, but, if you wish, you can intervene at the moment by removing the affected leaves and applying a preventive treatment with a fungicide such as Zoxis 250 SC, 10 ml. It is diluted in a dose of 10 ml / 10 l of water, and the solution is applied by spraying on the leaves. Also, if you have not applied any fertilizer so far, you can administer a special one to stimulate the healthy development of the root system and the improvement of soil quality, such as root stimulator Wurzel-Fit, 900 g. More information about this tree is presented in our article: Tulip tree, planting guide and care work.

Recommended articlesElElena13 April 2022Hello, we also have a tulip tree. Its leaves have wilted up at the top of the tree and it has healthy branches at the bottom. It is completely wilting? How can I save him? Prune the top and let the new ones grow? I mention that it was planted 2 years ago, brought in pots, and planted by those from the distribution company. It was watered frequently.

Hello, it is advisable to check if the upper part is completely wilted, by lightly scratching some branches with your fingernail. If the tissue under the bark is moist and green, then the tree is still alive. Check several places if you find this browned tissue. Viable branches are elastic when bent, while dead, dry ones break easily. However, if that portion is dry, most likely, the shoots on the trunk will not form an aesthetic crown.

Thanks for your prompt response. I checked and they are dry. If I cut at 1-1. 5 m from the ground so that the part with the green branches remains, will it not help or the lower will dry in the next period?
