The buds and leaves of the peony are turning black

      Hello!
I planted peonies this spring. But once grown, one by one, the peony buds are affected by a disease and I don’t know what treatment is good. I cut off all the affected branches, but it still occurs. Can they still be saved?

Hello. To help you with a recommendation, please give us more information about peonies: where are they located, what are the environmental conditions (light, temperature, soil)? How often do you water them and how is the watering done? When exactly did the symptoms start? Are there any other symptoms on the plant (leaf spots, discoloration, holes, etc.)? Have you applied any treatment or fertilizer? Have you noticed any pests?
Also, please attach some relevant photos of the buds, leaves, and the plant as a whole.

The peonies are located in a semi-shady part of the garden and due to the recent heavy rains, the soil is damp. When there has been no rain, we water them in the evening.

In this case, if you have not noticed the presence of pests or other symptoms on the plants, it is recommended to remove the affected parts and treat with a fungicide such as Switch 62.5 WG, 10 g, in a dose of 8 g/10 L water, by spraying. Also, high and persistent soil moisture can favor the emergence of soil pathogens, so to prevent this, you can make 2 treatments, 7-10 days apart, with a fungicide such as Dynamic, 100 g, applied by watering, at a dose of 10 g/10 L water.
10-14 days after the Switch fungicide treatment, it is recommended to use fertilizer to help plant regeneration, such as Biplantol Vital NT, 250 ml, by spraying, at a dose of 20 ml/1 l water. Foliar applications can be repeated every two weeks or so in the spring-autumn period.
