      Strawberry, insects on the berries

We have identified the insects in the pictures in the strawberry crop! The grey one I suspect is a stinkbug but the colored one I don’t know what it could be! The colored ones are numerous and I think the losses caused by them are very high. Please after identifying them recommend an effective treatment! I should mention that 2 years ago I put oat straw between the ridges of the strawberry crop….probably they have multiplied since then! Now there are a lot of them!

Hello. The insects in the first photo seem to belong to the family Rhyparochromidae (most likely Beosus quadripunctatus). These insects feed mainly on the seeds of various plants and weeds. As the damage is not significant, it is not necessary to apply an insecticide.
In the second photo, a stinkbug species can be seen. In our product catalogue, the only insecticide approved for strawberry that has stinkbugs in its control spectrum is: Mavrik 2 F, 5 ml, in a dose of 5 ml/10 L water. It is important to respect the preharvest interval between the treatment and harvesting the berries, in this case 14 days.
After the insecticide treatment, you can also consider applying a fertilizer that stimulates plant growth, making them less susceptible to be attacked by pests and diseases: AMN Fusek, 500 ml, applied by spraying, according to the recommendations on the label.
