Stephanotis floribunda, yellowing leaves after purchase
Hello!
I have a Madagascar Jasmine which I bought recently. I tried to put it in a place away from draughts and direct sun. I watered the plant 2-3 days after buying it. The temperature is between 20-24°c in the house. Please help me save it.
-_- Thanks for your help !!!Attachments:

I forgot to mention that it has started to turn yellow, one tip is dry and the buds have started to dry as well …
FlFlorentina6 January 2024Hi. Usually, the yellowing of leaves and wilting of flowers is caused by abiotic factors (lack of light, inadequate humidity in the substrate, large temperature fluctuations, etc.). Yellowing leaves can also be signs of chlorosis, and Madagascar jasmine is very susceptible to this. You also said that you have shielded the plant from light, which is not advisable due to the fact that it requires sunlight. You might have watered the plant too much and too often or the pot it is in is too small. I would recommend that you apply a foliar fertilizer, such as Organic Spray for Indoor Plants Zimmerpflanzen, 500ml.
For more tips you can also read the following articles:

FlFlorentina8 January 2024The pot should be 2-3 cm larger in diameter and a very good substrate is this one: Green Plants Professional Substrate, 10 litres.

Hello. In this case, the deterioration may be related to the stress suffered during handling, transport and to changing environmental conditions (Acclimatisation of indoor plants and Indoor plant placement according to environmental factors), as well as to unfavorable environmental and care conditions (high temperatures, low air humidity, insufficient light and others, depending on the case). Apart from the recommendations above, it is advisable to consult the information and advice detailed in our articles: Indoor plants - symptoms, causes, solutions and Madagascar jasmine, plant care and growing guide .
As far as transplanting is concerned, you should bear in mind that this operation may cause additional stress to the plant. Therefore, it is recommended to transplant it after the plant shows signs of improvement, following the general recommendations described in this article: Indoor plants - Repotting. When transplanting you can consider using a suitable substrate, such as Green Plants Professional Substrate, 10 litres.-
