      3 Wish green leaves

Photinia, black spots, tiny leaves, dry red at the tips

      Please, help!
I planted a lovely Photinia Red Robin from a pot in our planter and it hasn’t done well ever since.
I didn’t apply any treatment when planting it (to protect it), just watered it immediately afterwards. A week of continuous rain followed and after a few days I noticed that the tips of the little red leaves were starting to dry out and turn black but the green leaves also had black spots on them. I suspected that it was from the humidity, as it had rained a lot. The planter has no bottom, it goes straight into the ground, so theoretically no water collects. 3 days ago, while applying AMN Nordalge to some Leylandii shrubs (I had also applied last year and they did very well afterwards), I thought it would suit the Photinia as well, so I prepared 6 caps of Nordalge to 10 l of water and applied foliarly about 1.5 L and with the rest up to 10 l, I watered the root and then trimmed it a bit at the base because there were branches lying on the ground (I planted it too low in relation to the pot). Since then, it seems to be getting worse, the tips of the little red leaves are drying out and the still healthy red leaves have started to fade to orange, it seems not as colourful as it was before I applied the treatment. I should mention that I am very new to plants, we have recently moved into the house and have started planting and looking into treatments, fertilizers etc. The container of AMN Nordalge was opened last summer and has been in storage. What can I do with it? It breaks my heart to see it in so much pain.

Hello. The symptoms on the leaf in the last photo are similar to those caused by a leaf spot disease. Thus, it is recommended to remove all the affected leaves (they should not be left on the ground) and to treat it with a broad-spectrum fungicide such as Amistar, 10 ml, in a dose of 10 ml/10 L water, by foliar spraying (Tech1).
Regarding the aspect of the reddish leaves, their slight deterioration may have been caused by the stress suffered after transplanting (being large specimens, they adapt more slowly). You can still regularly apply AMN Nordalge, 500 ml, in a dose of 6-12 ml/1 L water, as recommended on the label. This fertilizer is administered either at the roots or foliarly, but in this case it would be better to administer it at the roots.
For further information on the care of this species please consult the following article: Photinia x fraseri, planting guide and care work. Further, it is advisable to monitor the evolution of the plant for a while, and in case other symptoms appear or those present worsen, we are waiting for your message accompanied by photos.
