Hi, hoping you can help me.. I’m having problems with some pests in my lawn. I can feel mounds in the grass under the soles of my feet. When I investigated, I could see soil brought to the surface through the holes formed in the lawn. I have attached a video with something that looked like an earthworm although not entirely. It may be a coincidence that it was there. There are a lot of holes in the lawn… they are basically one next to each other (less than a year ago, but now they are everywhere). My neighbor has some cherry trees near our shared fence. Last year I saw a bunch of cherry seeds in the same place.. practically the cherries were eaten by something in the same area..
I should mention that I suspected they were mole crickets, although I have not seen any. I have already bought and sprayed a few times with Super corocid or something similar.
Thank you.
Hello. The video seems to show earthworms (the mounds being caused by them). The presence of earthworms is beneficial in nature, having different important roles for the earth, such as: soil loosening, aeration, pH neutralization, etc. As they are not considered harmful to plants, there are no known phytosanitary treatments to control them.
