Pest Control, tiny, 1 mm bugs on the wall in the bedroom
I noticed today and the day before yesterday 2 tiny 1 mm beetles on the wall in the bedroom, near the bed. Can you help me identify them? Are they bedbugs or booklice? I am not bitten and there is no other evidence of bedbugs.

Hello. It is not possible to accurately identify the insects due to their small size and the clarity of the photos, but in the attached images it appears to be a species of booklice (order Psocoptera). In this case, it is recommended to vacuum the room, insisting on the areas where the pests are present as well as those where they can hide. Subsequently, in the areas where an insecticide spray can be applied, you can consider a broad-spectrum product such as i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre or i2.6 Universal RTU, 500 ml, applied as recommended on the label.
Additionally, it is recommended to reduce the humidity in the room and ensure a good ventilation, respectively to remove any infested objects (in case you find the source of the infestation: books, various food sources). Also, to monitor and capture various insects, you can consider regularly using a trap such as 100i Insect Monitors, 3 pieces.-

AnAndra9 January 2024Thank you for your answer! I only have 2 books in my bedroom, I wouldn’t want to throw them away. I haven’t noticed anything on them, maybe precisely due to the fact that they are very very small insects. How can I treat them?
Unfortunately, we do not have information about the measures that can be taken to control booklice on various objects that can be easily damaged (as these insects can also hide in any other object or material of plant or animal origin).
General recommendations for controlling insects in books and other objects can be found in a similar topic in the Armuro Community: https://www.armuro.com/en/forums/about/how-do-i-get-rid-of-the-wood-borers-that-infest-books/.AuthorPostsViewing 3 reply threadsWas this discussion helpful?
