      Pest Control, pest identification, carpet beetle

      Hi. I found this bug on the living room couch today at noon. I’m not sure if it could be a bedbug, from what I know they don’t have white spots on their back…although the quality of the picture is not good, maybe someone can confirm/infirm…
      I live in an apartment on the 10th floor (if it’s relevant)

      Hello! From the attached photo, it looks like you are dealing with a species of carpet beetle (Anthrenus verbasci). In this case, it is recommended to vacuum thoroughly, insisting on the areas where the pests are present, as well as those where they can hide. It is also recommended to sanitize the carpets by washing. Subsequently, on surfaces, it is recommended to apply a contact insecticide with a broad spectrum of action such as: i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre or i05 Pytrelina, 1 litre. These are applied by spraying and left to act for a minimum of 4-6 hours. Subsequently, after spraying, until the applied solution dries, a fumigation treatment (i7.2 Dobol Fumigator, 10 g or Ghilotina i135 PermFum Midi, 11 g) can be applied. The smoke will irritate and cause the pests to come out of their hiding places or hard-to-reach spaces, and thus come into direct contact with the previously sprayed insecticide. After applying the products, the rooms should be properly ventilated.
