Pest Control, insect identification, dust lice
Good evening! I’ve been struggling for a long time with some small cream, black, brown insects…I’ve identified them online as dust lice. I’ve had them in the flour, all over the kitchen. Then I found them all over the house, on the walls, on the tiles, on the skirting boards, in the wardrobe. I’ve ransacked the whole house, washed everything, applied a solution from ghilotina that is combined with water…to no avail…they reappear. As I look with the flashlight on the walls, on the floor, I see them again. I’m exhausted, I don’t know what to do. I’m always cleaning… I don’t know what else I can do. Please help me get rid of them.. and from what do these insects arise? Is there any chance to get rid of them for good? THANK YOU! I must mention that they are small insects, I have to be very vigilant to observe them with a flashlight…I have also developed a kind of allergy from them, I always have itchy skin!

Hello! Due to the small size of the insects, an exact identification is not possible. In this case, please attach more clear photos. Also, please tell us how the treatment was carried out and how long the insecticides were left to take effect.
MiMirela13 March 2024I can’t get a clear picture because the insects are quite small. They are cream and black, some smaller, some a little bigger. I sprayed with Buglea, followed the instructions on the bottle and even sprayed the skirting boards, left it on without wiping. Their number has reduced, but a few days ago I found a lot of them again and I don’t know what to do next, what to use. Is there any chance to get rid of them for good? Do you think they might stay on the bed a well? I’ve looked, but I don’t see any. I have to mention that some are as small as a round crumb.

From the attached image it seems to be a species of booklice (order Psocoptera). According to our information, these insects are not dangerous to humans. They contaminate plant and animal-based products, being attracted to cereals, woody fruits, gypsum, powdered milk and also fungi and mold. They often hide in books, newspapers, furniture, under wallpaper and in other areas with high humidity. If you find infested products, you should throw them away. Additionally, it is essential to ensure a constant and efficient ventilation in the rooms. In this case, it is advisable to vacuum thoroughly, insisting on the areas where the pests are present and where they can hide. Subsequently, in places where an insecticide spray can be applied, you can consider using a broad-spectrum product such as i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre or i2.6 Universal RTU, 500 ml, as recommended on the label. If necessary, you may also consider treating the infested objects (books, newspapers, magazines, clothes, etc.) with thermal chambers (e.g. Oven 2 9504 Thermal Bag or ZappBug Heater Thermal Bag).
For monitoring and trapping various insects, you can also take into account the regular use of a trap such as: 100i Insect Monitors, 3 pieces.-

MiMirela15 March 2024Thank you! Believe me, I don’t know where they keep coming from. I don’t know what I can do to get rid of them definitively. I’ve tried all sorts of solutions. Now I’m killing them, in a few minutes they come back. I’ve seen that they hide in the door frame, so I really don’t know what solution to apply. Sometimes I find them in my clothes, even though I took everything out a few months ago and I washed them.
MiMirela16 March 2024I must mention that I have tried this solution you mentioned, but to no avail.
If the product i2.6 Universal RTU, 500 ml did not work according to your expectations, you can consider applying the above mentioned insecticide i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre or i05 Pytrelina, 1 litre. This is applied by spraying and left to take effect for at least 4-6 hours. Subsequently, after spraying, until the applied solution dries, a fumigation treatment (i7.2 Dobol Fumigator, 10 g or Ghilotina i135 PermFum Midi, 11 g) should be applied. The smoke will irritate and make the pests come out of their hiding places or hard-to-reach spaces (flush-out effect), forcing them to come into direct contact with the previously sprayed insecticide. After applying the products, the rooms should be properly ventilated. For clothes and books we recommend using the thermal treatments mentioned above.
