Hello! Please, can you tell me what kind of insect is in the attached picture and what can I use to eliminate them ? Luckily I have a microscope and I managed to catch it from the bedroom wall with a strip of tape and then applied the tape to a microscope slide. These insects can only be found in one room, and I have not been able to get rid of them for more than 3 months. I used universal bug spray, but they reappear. I assume they are not coming from outside. I have window screens on all the windows in the house. We live in a house and have a garden with fruit trees. Thank you in advance for your answer!

Hello! From the attached photos it looks like you are dealing with booklice, an insect of the order Psocoptera. Booklice can be found in books, newspapers, furniture, under wallpaper and other areas where the humidity is high. To control them, it is recommended to lower the humidity and treat the infested objects (books, newspapers, magazines, etc.) with thermal chambers such as: Oven 2 9504 Thermal Bag or ZappBug Heater Thermal Bag.

You can also consider applying treatments with insecticides. Before applying the insecticides, it is advisable to vacuum thoroughly, insisting on the areas where the pests are present and where they can hide. Afterwards, in the places where an insecticide spray can be applied, you can consider using a broad-spectrum product such as i2 AMP2 CL RTU, 1 litre or i2.6 Universal RTU, 500 ml, as recommended on the label.

Also, for monitoring purposes, you may take into account the regular use of a trap such as: 100i Insect Monitors, 3 pieces.
