Parsley

Parsley, white pests

Hello,
I bought this parsley from Kaufland and transplanted it into a pot that sits on the balcony ledge.
The problem is that it has become infested with some white lice, as you can see in the pictures. Next to it was a pot of basil and two planters with tomatoes.
What can I do to save it, and more importantly, why did these lice appear?

They are uploaded at the original resolution, but as I have pointed out in the past – your site has an overly aggressive compression of the images – probably due to saving storage on the server, but which brings these disadvantages.

Hello. From the attached photos, the plant appears to be suffering from an aphid attack. The white formations on the substrate and pot represent their exuviae (the shells resulting from shedding). At the moment, we do not have an approved insecticide for parsley against aphids in our catalogue. In this case, to remove some of the pests, you can carefully wash the leaves with water. Also, to catch any potential pests (flies or other flying insects), you can opt to use an adhesive trap: Butterfly Guard, set of 10. The pests are attracted by the color of the trap and stick to the special adhesive.
Also, to stimulate plant growth, you can consider the regular application of a fertilizer such as: Organic Fertilizer for Herbs Flüssigdünger Kräuter, 350 ml, by watering at the roots, as recommended on the label.
