Olive tree, white worms in the substrate
Hello.
I bought the olive tree from the store this summer.
I recently noticed some white worms.
I would like some advice on how to deal with them, I don’t know if they are from the soil or from watering (I haven’t over-watered). I have attached a picture of the olive tree.
Apart from a few leaves that have turned yellow at the tips, there’s no sign of any disease.
Thank you.Attachments:

Hello. The exact identification of the white worms on the surface of the substrate is not possible from the attached photos alone, but they seem to be a species with an important role in the degradation of decaying plant matter. Normally, these insects are not harmful to plants. Regarding the drying of the leaves from the tip to the base, this may be caused by low atmospheric humidity, possibly also by the lack of adequate fertilization. In this case, it is recommended to spray the leaves with a fine mist of water and use a fertilizer such as Wuxal Flussigdunger Universal Fertilizer, 250 ml, applied according to the information on the product label. More tips and information about olive tree care can be found in our article in the Armuro Community: Olive, plant care and growing guide.
