Hello. If you have not identified other symptoms (pests, very fine webs, deposits or discolouration), the withering of the leaves may have been caused by a combination of abiotic factors, such as temperature fluctuations, constant substrate humidity in some areas and dehydration of some other parts of the roots (due to frequent watering with small amounts of water), insufficient light, nutrient deficiencies and other abiotic factors.
It is recommended to remove severely affected leaves and to water at longer intervals and with larger amounts of water so that the substrate is saturated. You may consider checking the moisture of the substrate periodically (possibly with a wooden stick) and watering only when deemed necessary (when the top layer of the substrate is mostly dry). To revitalize the plant and stimulate vigorous growth you can consider fertilizing the olive tree with specific fertilizers, such as or (when watering the plant) or (by foliar spraying on the remaining leaves), as recommended in the product descriptions.
In the following growing season, it is recommended to regularly apply a fertilizer specially formulated for the needs of Mediterranean plants, such as , in the dosage recommended on the label. It increases plant resistance to pest attacks and the spread of diseases, supports plants under stressful conditions and stimulates healthy growth. Starting in spring, it is recommended to apply this fertilizer weekly.
It is essential that the plant is placed in optimal growing conditions, depending on the season: Indoor plant placement according to environmental factors and Acclimatisation of indoor plants. Given the current state of the tree in the pictures, it is not possible to say exactly how it will develop in the future.
