Hello, please can you tell me if the bed bug treatment is also applied for prevention, as the apartment under me has already bed bugs?
If I call in a specialist firm, does the solution have to be sprayed on all the clothes in the wardrobe? The company told me that they take everything out and spray all the clothes, then I wash them, but I have coats, leather coats etc. They cannot be washed at 60 °C, what do I do in this case?

Hello. In general, bed bugs do not travel long distances, apart from their feeding places, in which case they are unlikely to move from your neighbors to yours unless there is a massive infestation. However, in order to detect the presence and degree of the infestation, it is advised to utilize a monitoring trap, like BDS-SLDR96. If you notice captured bed bugs, it is recommended to apply two or three treatments against them, as they are more difficult to control. The first treatment can be done with an insecticide such as Cytrol Forte WP, 20 g, applied by spraying, in a dose of 10 g / 5 l water. With this solution spray all areas where bedbugs might hide (bed furniture, fabrics, mattresses, carpets, bedside tables, skirting boards, etc.) Immediately after the spray treatment, apply a fumigant insecticide such as Dobol Fumigator, 20 g in each room. It will irritate the bedbugs, make them come out of their hiding places and thus they will come into contact with the initial spray solution. With this treatment, all adults will be eliminated.
After 7-10 days it is recommended to carry out the second treatment with an insecticide such as K-Othrine WG 250, 20 g, by spraying, in a dose of 10 g/ 10 l of water, then apply a fumigant insecticide such as Dobol Fumigator, 20 g in each room.
Depending on the evolution of the attack, a third treatment, similar to the first one (Cytrol Forte insecticide spray + Dobol insecticide fumigant) can be used.
After each treatment, the premises will be closed for 4-6 hours. After that, all rooms and surfaces are vacuumed, ventilated, and the vacuum cleaner bag or tank is cleaned immediately after vacuuming. Also, all fabrics and materials that support this process must be washed at a temperature above 60 degrees. In the case of coats and leather coats (which do not withstand temperatures of 60°C), you can consider insulating them from the rest of your clothes and checking them carefully.
