Hello. Please provide us with more information about the plant: where is it placed, what are the environmental conditions (light, humidity, temperature)? How often do you water it and how is watering done? Does the pot have holes for drainage? When did the symptoms start, exactly? Have you applied any treatment/fertilizer? Is there a pest on the plant (check carefully)?

Thank you for the answer! The plant is located on a bright balcony, with morning sun, temperature 30 °. At first, after i bought it, a year ago, i watered it more often, so the soil was moist, then I reduced the waterings, now i water it for about a week, i let the soil dry. Whether the soil is moist or waiting to dry between waterings, it reacts the same way, the leaves turn black and fall. I looked carefully but haven’t seen any pests on it. The pot is made of clay, with a large hole in the middle. I put fertilizer a few times, after i bought it, the one for green plants from Pokon.

The symptoms are very similar to bacteriosis (blackening of the leaves and drops of bacterial exudate). In this case, it is recommended to remove the affected leaves and perform 1-2 treatments, at intervals 7-10 days intervals, with a fungicide such as Champ 77 WG, 20 g. Also, during the vegetation period, it is recommended to apply a special fertilizer for succulents, such as bonsai & cactus kakteendunger fertilizer, 250 ml.

AnAndreea12 April 2022Hello. Thank you very much for the answer! Unfortunately, i have several plants with various symptoms, so i will come back with each one. The flowers and buds of this aeschynanthus have begun to fall and have small, silvery spots on the leaves. I suspect it would be mealybugs. Like pachypodium, it sits on the balcony, the temperature being around 30 ° and watering about 2-3 days.

Hello. Indeed, the video shows the presence of mealybugs. Against these pests it is recommended to carry out an insecticide treatment such as Mavrik 2 F, 5 ml and after 7-10 days, it is recommended to alternate with an insecticide such as Movento 100 SC, 7.5 ml. To increase the effectiveness of insecticides, it is recommended to add to the spray solution an adjuvant such as Break Thru S 240, 2 ml. 7-10 days after performing insecticide treatments, it is advisable to use a product for ornamental plants, such as Biplantol Contra X, 500 ml. Supports plant regeneration after certain stress conditions, or if they have suffered pest attacks. In addition, you can regularly apply a balanced fertilizer for indoor decorative plants: Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml.

AnAndreea13 April 2022Hello! Thank you very much for the answers! I have one last question. These are orchids that have black spots on the leaves. Here is the vanda orchid.
-
Hello. Please provide us with more information about the plants: what are the environmental conditions (light, temperature, humidity)? How often do you water them and how is watering done? When did the symptoms start, exactly? Have you applied any spray treatment? Did you administer fertilizer? Are they placed in full sun?
-
AnAndreea13 April 2022
Hello. The plants are placed on the balcony, now at a temperature of 30 ° and the sun is in the morning. Immersion watering once a week and sprinkle them every 2 days. The symptoms started gradually, over time, i could not tell you exactly when. I applied only liquid and foliar fertilizer for orchids. Only Dendrobium on the back of the leaf, on the whitish side it seems to have slightly reddish drops, otherwise, no pest is observed. Thanks!
-
From the attached videos, the orchids show symptoms specific to leafspot. In this case, it is advisable to remove the strongly affected parts, then to carry out a treatment with a broad-spectrum fungicide, such as Zoxis 250 SC, 10 ml. 7-10 days after the treatment, for regeneration of orchids, the application of a special fertilizer such as Biplantol Orchid, 500 ml can be considered. For a proper development, it is advisable to respect the environmental and care requirements specific to orchids, detailed in our article (https://www.armuro.com/en/orchid-pest-disease-treatments/).

AnAndreea13 April 2022Hello. Thank you for the answer! Next, I will ask you to help me with some seedlings that have similar symptoms. It is about Polyscias fabian, passiflora, Mimosa pudica and Tropaeolum majus. The leaves shrink, show discoloration, turn yellow and eventually fall. Especially on the back of the polyscias leaves, a spider-like canvas can be seen and following a detailed study with a pocket microscope, i noticed the presence of transparent pests, such as those in the attached image.

AnAndreea13 April 2022From the attached photo and from the video, the plants seem to show an attack of mites. Against them, it is recommended to perform 1-2 treatments, at 7-10 days intervals, with a product such as Vertimec 1.8 EC, 10 ml. 7-10 days after performing insecticide treatments, it is recommended to use the maintenance product Biplantol Contra X, 500 ml , mentioned above. It is also recommended to apply fertilizer for indoor Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml.
