1 Wish green leaves
Hop leaves – pest attack
Hello!
The hops I have on my patio have started to have a lot of leaves completely eaten off. On the back of some leaves there are small greyish-white colonies (see picture). What can I do? Thank you! -
Hello. In order to help you with a recommendation, please check carefully and let us know if you notice any pests on the plant: larvae/caterpillars, beetles, etc, and attach some photos of them.
In this case, it is recommended to remove the affected leaves and those on which the eggs are found and to carry out 1-2 treatments, 7-10 days apart, with an insecticide such as BactoSpeine DF, 10 g, in a dose of 10 g/10 L water, applied by spraying. It is important to prepare a volume of solution corresponding to a single treatment (respecting the mentioned dosage) because the mixture already prepared does not have a shelf life longer than 24 hours.
7-10 days after the treatments, it is recommended to use a maintenance product such as Organic Plant Spray Tansy & Wormwood, 500 ml, applied directly by spraying. It supports plant regeneration after certain stress conditions, or if they have suffered pest attacks.-
