Hello. In order to help you with recommendations and advice, please give us more details about the care of the plant: location (if the plant is near a window or has been kept in the garden during the warm season), if you spray the leaves with water, if you have placed an infested plant near it, if you have carried out treatments or if you have applied any fertilizers etc. Also, please check the plant carefully and let us know if you notice larvae/caterpillars, eggs or deposits on the leaves (on the underside and topside of the leaves, including between the leaves). If you notice any symptoms of disease/pests, please attach clear and relevant photos of them.
IuIulia5 March 2024I didn’t notice anything suspicious. It’s sitting on the windowsill, it had 2 seedlings that I transplanted just today. They have these holes in the leaves, the mother plant does not. I transplanted them when they were a bit too big, as I didn’t know they needed to be separated from the mother plant. I water it properly and apart from this problem, it has grown nicely
Thanks for the reply!Attachments:

IuIulia6 March 2024PS. I have attached some clear pictures of the leaves of the 2 I have repotted.
In this case, it is recommended to remove the affected leaves (because they will not recover) and treat with Champ 77 WG, 20 g, a fungicide-bactericide, the dose being 20 g per 10 L water. In order to increase the resistance of plants to factors of stress, as well as to stimulate their growth and flowering, it is recommended to regularly use a fertilizer such as Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml or Wuxal Flowers Fertilizer Blütenpracht, 1 litre, applied by watering according to the instructions on the packaging. More tips and information on growing and caring for this species can be found in our article in the Armuro Community: Guzmania, plant care and growing guide.

Recommended articlesIuIulia8 March 2024Thank you! Just now I have noticed a gnat flying around the leaves. Could that be it? What are the parasites of this type of plant supposed to look like?
If I tear off the affected leaves, there’s nothing left of one of the seedlings because there are many holes on each leaf 🙁In this case, it does not seem to be a pest, but a phytopathogenic disease. For this reason it is advisable to follow the above recommendations. As for the removal of the leaves, this can be done gradually, as new ones grow.
