Gooseberry bushes – treatments against pests
Have replaced old gooseberry bushes which were mildewed with new stock. This has just been decimated overnight by ? gooseberry sawfly? All leaves stripped.
Is there an insecticidal spray to stop this happening again as the bush recovers? -
Hello, if pests are still visible on the plants, they can be controlled using an insecticide such as Antario, 100 g. If the foliage has been severely damaged, to support the revitalization process, you can administer several treatments with a fertilizer such as AMN Verde, 500 ml, by watering, and later, after the leaves have regenerated, you can apply an organic spray such as Organic Plant Spray Tansy & Wormwood, 500 ml, which makes the plants more resistant to pest attacks.
