Getting rid of couch grass in Poa Pratensis turf
Good evening, I am asking for an advice, I have a turf with Poa pratensis dominant species that is infested with couch grass, I heard Foxtrot (35ml / 10l water) would be helpful. However, I have no idea if it also affects Poa pratensis, both species being monocotyledonous. Thank you.

I also noticed that you recommend Foxtrot in a dose of 35ml/10l water to control couch grass, but in other cases 50ml/10l water.
Hello, as couch grass is a more difficult weed to control, it would be better to use a dose of 50 ml/10 L water for Foxtrot 69 EW, 100 ml.

GeGeorgian13 April 2022Hello, I used Foxtrot 69 EW, 100 ml (55ml in 10l of water) and it’s been 2 weeks and I noticed only a slight yellowing, but mostly no effect. The bluegrass is still in the lawn. Can I increase the dosage? Is it worth to repeat the treatment? I understand that mesotrione, the active substance often used in the US, would be more effective. Thank you.

Hello, Kentucky bluegrass is a perennial monocotyledonous weed with a well-developed root, which makes it difficult to control (as mentioned above). Thus, the effectiveness of the herbicide is greatly influenced by environmental conditions, as well as the stage of weed development. In addition, according to the manufacturer’s specifications, Foxtrot herbicide is applied only once a season. In our website, the only herbicide containing the substance mentioned is Callisto 480 SC, 1 litre , but it has not been tested for lawn application.
