Croton with falling leaves after repotting
Hi. I have this croton, i received it about 3 weeks ago. I changed the soil because it was extremely hard but i tried to take care of the root that i cleaned of the hardened soil. I used a mix of universal soil + sand with pebbles + peat in equal parts. I also put a little fungicide at the root (bumper 250 ec which was recommended for houseplants). The plant seems to be in perfect condition, but its leaves fall without being dried. See in the picture those leaves have fallen in the last 2 days. The plant has not changed at all is exactly the same as before i received it. The dropped leaves are only the ones at the base, including 1 of the new ones at the top. I water it only when the soil is dry. The drainage is excellent.

Hello, if you repotted it recently, then the fall of the leaves may occur due to the stress suffered as a result of this operation. To help overcome the stress and healthy plant growth, you can apply a stimulant such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml, by watering, in a dose of 30 ml / 10 l of water. Later, you can apply a fertilizer such as Interior Plants Organic Fertilizer, 350 ml.

SiSilvana25 March 2022I'm a little worried that since i wrote to you, half the leaves and the top ones have fallen.

If you have followed all the tips offered in the previous post, then you should wait for the plant to recover, although this process requires a longer period of time. It is recommended to take care of the plant further, according to its requirements. Additional information about croton growth can be found in the following article, Codiaeum, plant care and growing guide.
