Creeping cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans) in my flower garden

Hello, The Flower Garden was invaded this year by this weed that I managed to identify on the internet as Potentilla reptans. I have been struggling to get rid of it for several years, but I have not succeeded. On the contrary, this year it multiplied so much that it actually covered my garden. After I identified it on the internet, I found that it multiplies through roots (rhizomes). I am thinking of trying a total herbicide based on glyphosate – which should attack not only the aerial part of the weed, but also its roots – maybe that’s how I have more chances to eliminate, or at least reduce their number. But, in the flower garden, at this moment I still have: roses, magnolias, pomegranate, clematis, lilies, daffodil bulbs, hyacinths, tulips, peonies. If I can try to cover (when I apply the herbicide) the roses, magnolias , pomegranate, the clematis and the lilies, I still worry about the bulbs – I can’t remove them all this year. What do you think, will the bulbs and roots of the other flowers be affected if I apply a total herbicide? Or can you recommend me a better solution? Thank you in advance!

Hello, considering that the herbicide will reach the soil, there are very high chances that the bulbs will be affected. We have no information on a selective herbicide for bulbs or other flowering plants (such as lilies). In this case, probably the least risky option is using a burner – E-Bio-Gärtner PZ 4000 Weed Burner .
