CrCrisan5 November 20230 Wish green leaves
Coffee tree, the leaves turn yellow/brown
Almost all the leaves have been drying out for the past month or two. They’re starting to turn brown. This summer I took it outside, but after two, three weeks, I brought it back inside because it was starting to turn yellow. Now it’s sitting in the bathroom.

Hello! In order to help you with a recommendation, please give us more information. What were the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, light, how often did you water the plant)? What other symptoms can be observed? Please attach some clear photos of both the affected sections and the plant as a whole (showing the basal part).
CrCrisan6 November 2023The temperature would be 20 °C, normal humidity, it does not stay right by the window. I water it about once every two weeks. In pictures the leaves seem light green, but in reality they are dark.

Hello, the leaf deterioration was most likely caused by one or more environmental and/or care factors: improper watering, draughts, temperature fluctuations, pot size, improper substrate, changing care conditions, low humidity, etc. In this case, it is recommended to maintain constant environmental conditions and care for the plant according to its specific requirements (Coffee tree, plant care and growing guide). Regarding the spots on the leaves, these symptoms may occur due to environmental conditions and variable temperatures, possibly also due to the appearance of a fungal disease. It is recommended to remove the affected leaves and spray a broad spectrum fungicide such as Amistar, 10 ml, the dose being 10 ml per 10 l of water (spray the entire plant, stem and leaves, both on the topside and underside of the leaves). In order to overcome this period of stress, it is recommended to use a fertilizer specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of indoor plants, such as Interior Plant Regeneration Ackerschachtelhalm RTU, 500 ml, applied by spraying, according to the recommendations on the label. From spring onwards, after the dormancy period of the plant, it is recommended to transplant it into a new substrate specially designed for green plants (Green Plants Professional Substrate, 10 litres). Further, it is recommended to monitor the evolution of the plant for a while, and in case other symptoms appear or the ones mentioned are worsening, we are waiting for your message accompanied by photos.
